Overview:

Department of Anatomy, being the first department to receive fresh students, has an experienced, enthusiastic, and hardworking faculty &well-trained support staff who are not only academically excellent but also are compassionate, dedicated, student-friendly, and encouraging for innovative ideas. The Department takes pride in its well-stocked Departmental Library, well equipped Histology Laboratory, state of the art Museum, Dissection Hall and Research Laboratory. The department is well equipped with all the standard books with the latest editions and all reputed National and International journals.  All the laboratories and demonstration rooms are equipped with audiovisual aids. The department trains the students in all fields of Human Anatomy using traditional as well as innovative methods. The faculty is proficient to teach students as per the latest CBME developed guidelines (implemented by MCI/NMC). The well-equipped research facility is utilized for research in histology, embryology, gross anatomy, etc.

Facilities & Services:

• The Department consists of an air-conditioned dissection hall that is well lighted, equipped with multimedia, provided with models, charts, Radiogram with an X-Ray view box, and skeleton. It is also provided with a mortuary cooler for the storage and cooling of cadavers. Human cadavers are available for dissection purposes.
• Embalming room equipped with embalming machine and embalming table.
• Museum is equipped with models and Charts of gross anatomy, embryology, and Neuroanatomy. It also has articulated and disarticulated skeletons and carefully selected X-ray, CT, and MRI films for student learning activities.
• The Department is equipped with a furnished, spacious, well-ventilated histology laboratory with 60Binocular microscopes and 5 dissection microscopes with a screen for demonstration of histological slides
• Research laboratory is also available in the department comprising rotary microtome, sledge microtome, incubator, hot plate, water bath, slide drying plate, and dissecting microscope.
• Departmental library has latest books and journals with air-conditioned sitting arrangement.
• Demonstration rooms are available with audio-visual aids
