Reconstructive surgery

Shija has set various milestones in reconstructive surgery. Our plastic surgeons aim at improving each patient’s appearance using sophisticated techniques and artistic skills. They have successfully performed 7 re-implantations of totally amputated hands and fingers for the first time in North Eastern India. Over 3500 cleft lip and palate patients have been operated free of cost and given smiles on their faces under Smile Train Shija Cleft Project not only in Manipur but also in the neighbouring states of Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram and also the neighbouring country of Myanmar.
