Shija Eye Care Foundation observe “World Sight Day 2017” at Shija Hospitals Auditorium on 12^th October 2017 and the theme of this year’s observation is “Make Vision Count”. “As a part of the observation, SECF(Shija Eye Care Foundation) organized a Free Comprehensive Eye Screening at the base hospitals. More than 100 patients were screened during the camp and the cataract surgeries will be done free of cost to the patients to be sponsored by NPCB (NHM). Other eye related Surgeries will be conducted at subsidized rate with 20% concession on diagnostics.

As a part of the “World Sight Day 2017” observation, “SPONSORS DAY” was also organized to appreciate sponsors of various Free Eye Camps. Appreciation certificates were distributed to the sponsors of their efforts and supports. During the function, Dr. Kh. Noornika, Consultant Ophthalmologist delivered a speech about World Sight Day 2017 – Theme “Make Vision Count” which focused on global attention on blindness and vision impairment. Dr. Keisham Romen, Consultant Ophthalmologist also presented a speech on the Impact created by Community Outreach Program.

Shija Eye Care Foundation has been organizing regular camp at various locations of Manipur. Recently, Shija Eye Care Foundation mentored by Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai introduced the Subsidized Section of OPD and surgeries where the patients are examined at Rs. 50 at OPD and SICS cataract surgery at free of cost, sponsored by NPCB (NHM). The section has been opened to ensure maximum nos. of patient avail of the services.
