Dr. Kh. Palin – Chairman & Managing Director, Shija Hospitals & Research Institute attained the 4^th Annual Northeast Healthcare Summit, on 14^th - 16^th September, 2017 at Radisson Blue,Guwahati as a Panelist in the session PATIENT SAFETY & HOSPITAL PLANNING. As a chairperson, his speech was on Safety Designs and Engineering aspects in a Hospital.

The healthcare sector has seen a lot of change over the last few decades. Looking into the demand for more beds, more hospitals have come up across the country. But many of them are built without taking into consideration the design safety norms of the hospital and statutory requirements.

This session would touch upon areas like hospital planning, architectural issues & challenges included in planning and designing a hospital, engineering services, effectively designing hospital interiors, planning, design & architecture for critical areas of the hospital so as to ensure patient safety.
