Health and family welfare minister, L. Jayantakumar Singh today laid the foundation stone of Manipur Medical Council office building in the directorate complex at Lamphelpat, Imphal West.

After the laying of the foundation stone L. Jayantakumar assured that the new office building will be constructed with proper quality control. The initiative for the construction of the building is taken up after seeing the interests of the Medical staff and the needs of the time, he added.
He said that the credit for the construction of the building goes to the health staffs that have been taking care of the department at present and the past. He sought the cooperation of all the Health and medical staff to promote the Health Department.

Prof. S. Rajendro Singh, chairman, Manipur medical Council, Dr. K. Lokendro Singh, director Health Services Manipur, director JNIMS Prof. Th. Bhimo Singh, Dr. Kh. Palin Singh, Managing Director of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (P) Ltd, Langol and many eminent doctors and health officials and staff also attended the function

 Dr. Khundongbam Palin as Executive Member and also the  Convener 'Medical Ethics committee express happy as a founder member of the council, which will make a milestone towards improving the quality of health care in Manipur. Foundation Stone of Manipur Medical Council Building laid today(Aug 7, 2017) by the Hon’ble Health Minister of the state.
